AQUABAC xt is an aqueous suspension formulation of bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis (BTI) that is effective against mosquitoes, blackflies, nuisance flies and nuisance aquatic midges in a variety of habitats. AQUABAC xt can be applied with aerial, ground equipment or direct. It can be applied concentrate, or diluted with water, for ultra-low volume (ULV) or conventional high or low volume applications. When used with ULV equipment, the BTI mist droplets will be disperse and reached water retention sites like tree-holes, leaf axils, fallen leaves, roof gutters and ground depressions where conventional application methods deem inaccessible. The BTI mist droplets gradually settle in the water where it is eaten by mosquito larvae growing there, hence killing them.
